Now that U.S. President Joe Biden has withdrawn from the presidential race, his Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be the Democrats’ presidential nominee next month at its convention. Being a woman and Black-Indian, she has an uphill battle against arrogant and racist White men like Donald Trump and apparently J.D. Vance, the Republicans choice as president and VP, even though he is married to an Indian woman. But since Harris previously was a prosecutor, and both an attorney general and senator of California, she appears to be more than qualified to answer the loose lip of the likes of Trump and Vance.
Harris gave her first apparent campaign speech yesterday. She hinted at Trump’s alleged crimes by declaring, “I took on perpetrators of all kinds: predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type.” Wow! I think Trump should fear this woman. No wonder he says he won’t debate her. He’s scared of her. So much for the Republicans’ braggadocia about debating.
It now appears that another hurdle for Harris against the Trump-Vance ticket will be her childlessness. It is being reported today that back in 2022, Vance said of Harris on a Fox News interview with Tucker Carlson, “We’re effectively run in this country—via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs—by a bunch of childless cat ladies, who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too. It’s just a basic fact.” Social media is now having a heyday with Vance’s “childless cat ladies.” And what about all those single women about there who couldn’t have kids?
I thought Vance was supposed to be a Christian. What about men who don’t have kids? Jesus obviously chose to not marry and thus have children. In Vance’s vocabulary, did that make Jesus a “childless cat man”? Same with his cousin and forerunner—John the Baptist. And what about Abraham and his wife Sarah? They would not have had children if it had not been for God supernaturally intervening when they were 100 and 85 years old, respectively, thus too old for Sarah to bear children. Abraham is the original source of the Judeo-Christian faith, and Jesus is Savior and Lord to Christians. Looks like Vance needs to brush up on his biblical history. Would he have called Sarah a “childless cat lady” before God came along?
