I am the desire of the ages. Once setting foot on the moon, humanity continues to explore, reaching to unlock an ever eluding purpose for life in the distant stars. St. Augustine, a mere mortal, understood why humankind would never discover meaning and rest for his soul in the world. His words written down in history declares God you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find rest in you.
Since the beginning of time, men and women seek to save themselves, but that is an impossible reality. Seeking fulfillment separate from the one who made you will never let you find contentment and satisfaction in a world that is passing away. My word rings out in eternity what does it profit a person if they gain the whole world and forfeits their soul. (Just Come Home)
The person who lives and believes this world will give them what they want and desire are sadly mistaken. No amount of riches will ever provide any lasting satisfaction. I have made you for myself, and have written in your hearts the desire of the ages. The heavenly Father and Mother breathed the breath of life into your lungs for intimate meaning and purpose. I am the resurrected bread of heaven who came down from above to feed your soul with spiritual life and sustenance. (You are my Child)
You are my brothers and sisters, coworkers with me, and your destiny is to have an inseparable union with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am the creator and sustainer of the universe; you are my body, and my glory is the desire of the ages. My roots are planted deep throughout eternity and hidden in the fabric of your soul. Those roots are forever an integral component of who you are, no matter where you go. I hope you discover those roots and know I am the desire of the ages who will satisfy your soul in the here and now and forever.
Scripture:
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Mark 8:36 NIV
For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world John 6:33 NIV
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Mathew 6:33 NIV
