The similarities of films of the Holocaust and the evil brutality of Nazis I saw as a young girl.
I have sat down numerous times in an effort to write this column.
But the dictionary of words to describe any of the occurrences in Israel on Saturday 10.7.23 was blank.
The atrocities of the Hamas terrorists did in Israel echoes the barbarisms of Isis and the Nazis.
I will not share with you the gruesome photos of what Israeli soldiers are still finding in the Kibbutzim (communal farms) down south.
For you will never be able to unsee them.
I have seen them.
The similarities of films of the Holocaust and the evil brutality of Nazis I saw as a young girl.
I know, they never leave your soul.
I will share with you some stories of the people, the souls the victims of the brutal massacre in Israel.
I will share with you some stories of the people, the souls the victims of the brutal massacre in Israel.
These are my family, my friends my Israeli brothers and sisters.
These are the people that lived to make peace, that were the hope for a better world.
These are the souls that had to exit this world in the worst of ways.
These are humans that are keeping each other strong as they are held as hostages.
These are people that yearned to laugh, dance and sing for peace.
Vivian Silver is believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas to Gaza, the same place she tried to heal.
I must tell you the story of my dear friend of 47 years, Vivian Silver.
Vivian, a peace activist dedicated her life to helping bridge between Palestinians and Israelis.
She would drive sick people from Gaza every week to get treatment in Israel.
She lives on Kibbutz Beeri, on the border with Gaza.
Her life has been dedicated to peace, making the world better and believing in the other.
She is a grandmother of four and a mother of two sons Yonatan and Chen.
On Sat. morning she hid behind a closet as she texted with her sons that terrorists were entering her home.
That was the last any of us have heard from her.

An entire family who believed in peace was slaughtered by the hands of Hamas terrorists
Tamar Kedem-Siman Tov and her husband Yonatan (Johnny) rushed into their safe room on Saturday.
Together with their 6-year-old daughters Shachar and Arbel and son 4-year-old Omer at their home on Kibbutz Nir Oz, on the outskirts of Gaza.
Tamar sent friends a message they were in their safe room stating they were ok.
An hour later all messages had stopped.
The entire family was later found slain by terrorists.
Tamar wanted to change things for the better and was an advocate for women’s rights.
Yonatan was a farmer.
An entire family who believed in peace was slaughtered by the hands of Hamas terrorists.
Noah Argamani a 25-year-old woman was at the peace music festival together with her boyfriend Avinatan Or.
At a peace music festival near Kibbutz Re’im people came to dance and sing.
260 of them were slaughtered, many were taken hostage, some are still uncounted for.
The stories told by survivors become too hard to grasp.
Noah Argamani a 25-year-old woman was at the peace music festival together with her boyfriend Avinatan Or.
She is someone who loves to travel and is full of positivity.
Today is her 26th birthday.
A video surfaced showing her being taken by Hamas terrorists.
Another soul that was celebrating peace and music.
It sounds like a Holocaust movie.
The young children and babies that were torn from their parents arms.
The elderly that were abducted barely walking and in need of medication.
The parents that witnessed the murder of their children.
And those that survived.
It sounds like a Holocaust movie.
But this is what occurred this is our reality.
However, we are resilient, we have proven to ourselves and the world.
The Jewish people will not be erased.
My ancestors who were murdered in Auschwitz concentration camp never imagined a State of Israel.
And yet here we are.
We will slowly pick up the pieces of the so many broken hearts.
In honor of the innocent young voices that will never be heard on both sides I must continue to peruse peace.
As my good friend Vivian Silver taught me, we must always strive for peace with the other.
In honor of the innocent young voices that will never be heard on both sides I must continue to peruse peace.
I am still trying to hold the enormous grief and horror that my heart is not really equipped for.
But for the 150 hostages and the 1350 killed in Israel as of today I will not give up.
May the memory of all the lives lost be for a blessing.
