Patheos offers a wide array of materials useful to students in their research. Extensive encyclopedic Library articles give detailed information about each major religion's history, beliefs, and practices. Topical articles on subjects pertinent to religion in the world today present the perspectives and interests of different traditions, and timely blog postings contribute to the discussion. As you research and write, all of this material should be referenced accordingly. Patheos uses The Chicago Manual of Style as a guideline to citations.
Library articles:
All of the Library articles have been written and reviewed by leading scholars in the field. These scholars, along with the editors of the series, are all listed as Contributors in the overview section of each article. To cite a Patheos Library article, cite the author, the exact section you use, the web page address, and the date you accessed the article. Often there are several authors who contributed specific sections to a series of Library articles. Click on the names to go to their biographical pages, where their specific contributions are made clear.
